Evo Rules.... Iphone Sucks Balls....

1. iphone is on att, one of, if not the worst service provider in America. sprint's simply everything plan that includes unlimited everything is $99... a similar plan for $69 is essentially the same plan except for limited land line calls... but who really calls a house phone now a days... both require 10 dollar fee for 4G service... small price to pay if you ask me, for 10 times the speed of 3G... att's unlimited plan, which includes a mandatory $30 data plan for the iphone, is over $150for current users... new users wont get an unlimited plan option.... latest reports from iphone users is that the external antenna that wraps around the iphone 4 is sensitive to the touch and makes you lose signal and drops calls... but dropped calls are nothing new to the iphone's reputation...

2. evo has 4G on the wimax network exclusive to sprint; again up to 10 times faster than 3G... downloads files in seconds... even though iphone has been advertised as "iphone 4G" it only works on a 3G network... the "4G" means "4th generation" as in the 4th iphone released.. no wimax...

3. evo has an 8MP rear camera and dual led flash able to shoot 720p HD video and a 1.3MP front vga camera... front can be used for video conferencing with anyone using skype on any phone or computer or fring on any phone in any network. it can also be used to take video or pictures to save to the phone...iphone rear camera is 5MP with single led flash also shoots 720p video...front camera only works when connected to a wifi and video conferencing with face time is only with other iphone 4 users..

4. evo has true multi-tasking on all apps installed... this means you can open and run as many apps as the phone can handle simultaneously... iphone has multi-tasking for only some basic apps (gps, calendar, music) ... it can open multiple apps but will stop whatever process you switch from until you switch back...

5. evo has a 4.3 inch with 480 x 800 pixels nice big screen that allows the touch keys to be spread out a bit more preventing mistypes... iphone comes with a 3.5 inch screen with 640 x 960 pixels.... slight edge on the resolution but a much smaller screen, almost an inch difference... also was reported that the iphone 4's screen is a bit smaller then previous versions...

6. evo comes with htc sense which lets you customize the 7 home screens with apps, shortcuts, folders, and widgets of your choice... some of you iphone fans might not even know what a widget is.. you should go online, find out, and be blown away...

7. android applications are on the rise... googles open development allows for more freedom on apps you can install... it also allows users to easily unlock their phones for even more customization... iphone puts developers trough a picky approval process and doesnt allow you to install open source apps....

8. evo is a wifi hotspot for up to 8 devices.... $29 additional service from sprint... but free for users with unlocked evo phones... enough said...

9.evo has a radio tuner... iphone doesn't....

10.evo has flash support... this means you can open almost any website with flash content, like you tube or yahoo games maybe even facebook games.... iphone will never have flash support (adobe and apple are mad at each other)...

11. evo's android has swype keypad... you've seen the commercials of the guy typing 50 words per minute... makes texting easier and faster.... sorry iphone...

12. iphone has a slight advantage in battery life over evo...but does not have the ability to change or replace the battery like the evo...evo allows you to carry a backup for long trips or whateva....also android has apps that allow you to manipulate the processor speed so you can save battery life when the phone is on standby...

13. iphone has a big advantage in internal space...at 32GB it dwarfs the 1GB capacity of the evo... however the evo supports external storage up to 32GB maybe even higher with upcoming firmware updates...iphone does not have external storage...

14. the evo comes with an hdmi cable port to connect to any hd tv, and stream online videos in hd...that's high quality video and sound to your tv...can’t touch it iphone...

15. last but not least the evo has a kickstand so that you can enjoy hands free operation....iphone users can lean it up against the wall, I guess...

My Favorite Michael Jackson Memories...

Today marks the 1 year anniversary of the death of Pop's #1 and probably greatest performer of all time, Michael Jackson.

I remember sitting here at the laptop when ICE-T of all people, who is a twitter friend of mine, tweeted that CNN had just announced that Michael Jackson had died. I immediately went online, turned on the tv to CNN and waited. First they reported that he was merely in a coma due to possible "complications." Then finally after about an hour and a half, they confirmed at 2:26 p.m. that the King of "Pop" had passed. I remember trippin' at first and not really believing it because let's face it, a lot of us grew up on The Jackson Five and Michael Jackson. I started making all kinds of phone calls. It truly felt weird. Like a little piece of my childhood died if that makes any sense.

I immediately started watching all my favorite videos, recorded the tributes they did on my dvr, and awaited his funeral. When that day came, I saw the outpouring of people and the emotions that accompanied them. I never quite understood the impact that someone whom you never met before could honestly affect your life, your emotions as if they were your close family friend. I couldn't fathom how a true emotion would come through someone for a person they may not have ever met yet somehow knew through and through. For some, that hurt came with the death of our beloved (and my favorite) President John F. Kennedy; for others it was the passing of The "King" of Rock & Roll, Elvis Presley; for my generation it is the sudden and tragic death of Michael Jackson.

As I tuned into CNN on the day of his televised funeral, I found myself in true devastation, crying and wondering why. I was seriously confused because in my life, I have never had an "iconic" person die that actually affected me, yet I found myself with tears strolling down my face and asking myself, "why."

I even once knew someone who worked at Neverland Ranch and would and tell me stories, the things he saw, and the feeling he got walking and actually working in his home. He was there to install EVERYTHING a kid would want in the electronics side of things. He told me of the room where he installed speakers, PlayStation's, screens, stereos, etc. He also told me how he had access to the popcorn, hot dogs, candies, cotton candy, sodas, etc. He said that even though he never actually had people in front of him literally watching him, he always felt like he was being watched. Michael wasn't present at the time he was on the property for the week he was there. Can you imagine being at MJ's house for a week? I would wait for him to tell me the ongoings he saw and heard while he visited the ranch.

Finally, on the last day, he "heard" MJ was on site and wondered relentlessly to see if he would catch a glimpse. He never did. He excused himself to the bathroom and told me that he was both bewildered and confused all at the same time. He said the mirrors reflected an image of a little boy in one and a little girl in the other. Yet you could still see yourself at the same time. Crazy right? So then he figured he'd take a souvenir from there for DUH the OBVIOUS! So the only thing he could grab was some soaps that were on the sink. The soap was white with a tissue paper over it and a sticker of a little boy on it. He put it in his work bag and walked out. Once he was leaving, he had to go through a security check and he said he was sweating it thinking that they would stop him and have him arrested for removing property. They didn't. LOL. The guys merely let him go. He gave me one of the soaps and I tripped out! I kept in my drawer for years. The soap was jacked and I do not have it anymore. SUCKS, I know but atleast I have those stories.

We ALL have a great memory thanks to Mike who had people document his preparation for his comeback European tour in the documentary, "This Is It." I tried and tried to get tix for the first showing at the Staples Center for myself and my baby brother who LOVES Michael. No luck. So we waited, and finally I bought him the dvd upon its release. AWESOME movie. I truly think it showcased the genius that was Michael Jackson. Thank you MJ, I know you did that for us, even if at the time you had no idea how much those moments would impact your fans today!

Crazy. Pointless. Sad. Misunderstood. Gifted. Legend.

As we celebrate his life and the GREAT music he gave us today, and as I sit here and type while listening to my Best of MJ playlist, I want to share with you a few of my favorite MJ songs, videos, memories, and pictures.

R.I.P. Michael Jackson ****May you forever "moonwalk" on the clouds.****

Have you seen my childhood?
I'm searching for that world that I come from
'Cause I've been looking around
In the lost and found of my heart...
No one understands me
They view it as such strange eccentricities...
'Cause I keep kidding around
Like a child, but pardon me...

People say I'm not okay
'Cause I love such elementary things...
It's been my fate to compensate, for the childhood
I've never known...

Have you seen my childhood?
I'm searching for that wonder in my youth
Like pirates and adventurous dreams,
Or conquest and kings on the throne

Before you judge me, try hard to love me,
Look within your heart then ask,
Have you seen my childhood?

People say I'm strange that way
'Cause I love such elementary things
It's been my fate to compensate for the childhood, I've never known...

Have you seen my childhood?
I'm searching for that wonder in my youth
Like fantastical stories to share
The dreams I would dare, watch me fly...

Before you judge me, try hard to love me
The painful youth I've had

Have you seen my childhood...

"Relapse + Recovery = EMINEM is the TRUTH!"

To quote the man himself...."they call me Slim Roethlisberger.." What BETTER way to start off this blog then with a reference my boy made to the MAN Big Ben (even though it wasn't meant to be a compliment necessarily, but hey if you wind up in an Eminem track, it IS a compliment)! Let me just say that it is VERY rare that I find an artist that I can truly say, I mean TRULY say that I thoroughly enjoy. However, that artist is Marshall Mathers, a.k.a. "Slim Shady," a.k.a. EMINEM! Everything this guy creates is magic. I was hooked many years ago, even though we never heard INFINITE and all the other unreleased songs from the original SLIM SHADY EP were never released but this guy is the TRUTH! I challenge ANYBODY to tell me he's not. I challenge ANYBODY to mention the top 5 MC's of ALL time and NOT mention his name.

As I sit here and type this blog, I am listening to the "RECOVERY" album. Let me say that I would honestly rather be listening to this c.d. then doing anything else right now. This is seriously going to be on repeat for lord knows how long. Just when I think the song that just finished can't any better than the next, he hits you with some new shit! Eminem is fucken insane and at the same time a complete genius! This album has gotten me back to the feelings I have whenever I listen to the MARSHALL MATHERS LP. It's THAT fucken good! I think in this moment, this album is my drug, my ecstasy, my LOVE, my boyfriend, my great ending to some AWESOME sex. This album brings us back to the SHADY man at his best! He's always speaks to a place inside me. I feel the pain he talks about and the heartaches he feels. It's crazy, but I've never actually listened to someones music and have it hit me in such a way that LIFE makes a bit more sense to me knowing that even famous people feel the same shit too!

If I were writing his review, which I suppose in essence I am, I would have to give him 5 mics. Those who read XXL know what this means. I'll say one further, if he is not nominated 10 times over for this album, I will never buy anybody else's album ever again. As the songs change from track 1 to 2, from 2 to 3, and so on the anticipation grows. It's just a constant build of euphoria that keeps taking me higher and higher! GOD DAMN THIS ALBUM IS THE SHIT!

MARSHALL MATHERS is back spitting HIS truth. SLIM SHADY is as crazy as ever. He leaves no stones unturned. EMINEM is back to claim his crown as one of the top MC's although in MY life, in MY opinion, he IS the BEST....PERIOD!

I didn't have a problem with the "RELAPSE" album. It to me came from his DARK side, the side that only SLIM SHADY sees. That's where I saw that music heading. However, he KNEW it wasn't his best. Even with the surprise artists that make an appearance on this album (Pink,Rihanna, and Weezy) this album is a complete SHADY omage. Pink adds FIRE to a rock-esque themed song and even Rihanna with her soft "I love the way you lie" verse is SICK! It fits! Weezy adds his flames to the track, "No Love" when he spits, "Yeah my life a bitch, but you don't know nothin' bout' her...been to hell and back, I can show you vouchers." DAMN SON, I am jumpin' with joy that my boy is back.

TOUR TIME = $$$$$$$

If you haven't heard this album, go get your copy, hell get 2!

ENJOY the ride with EMINEM and his 2 alter egos.

I'm going to continue my ride.

SLIM ROETHLISBERGER is back, he never left, he was merely sidelined for a bit BUT make no mistake, he IS back to reclaim the TROPHY that is rightfully his!

TRUTH!

Signed,

MRS. SHADY *

Contest Entry for BayLovesPow "Barbie Inspired" Look.....

Having NEVER been a fan of Barbie at all, like EVER when I was a little girl, I found myself more than surprised to enter this contest given that it asks for a replicated "Barbie Doll" look. However, since I am a make-up fiend, I found myself not wanting to pass this up. Plus, BayLovesPow is one of my favorite YouTube make-up gurus and I figured who better than she to have a contest I'd like to enter. Also, props to her and her 10,000 subscribers, (which is the whole purpose for this contest)! Okay, so the Barbie doll I chose was this Red-headed, classy Barbie with heavier eye make-up and a nice dainty hat. Oh and check out her blinged out earrings! A little obvious that I chose a redhead right? LOL

So anyhow, I had a blast. This is possibly the only one I may do, or there may be a few more to follow. Anyhow, since I didn't have that curtsy hat nor the black dressy clothes, I kept it real on the clothing and accessories and kept on what I had. I LOVE this makeup look and with the exception of the FAKE eyelashes which I LOATHE, I think I did a pretty good job if I do say so myself.

There is a First place winner and a Runner up. The prizes are pretty cool! I will keep you up to date as to the winners. I won't be disappointed if I don't win since this is my first try and I'm sure BayLovesPow will get a few more vids than mine.

Thank you BayLovesPow for hosting this. I truly do count you as one of my top YouTube Make-up Gurus!

This is the FINAL LOOK! Me with the Barbie Doll that inspired my look!

Enjoy!
