HAPPY "Aunti's DAY!"

Today is a celebration of those who are like "moms" but sometimes cooler and a bit more understanding. At least that's how I see it. I am the PROUD AUNT of 3 beautiful babies. First is my nephew, Jonathan Sebastian Ramirez. He is the first boy namesake and I dearly miss him. I am SO honored to be your "Auntene" my Cha-Chan! I LOVE you more than you'll ever know!


I also have the honor of being the Aunti to two of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen. My nieces, Tanaya Marie and Alyssa Marie. They are truly an addition to this single girl's life. They are a perfect mixture of their mom and dad and I see a bit of Aunti in them too! The "sassy" part. LOL. I have to say, they truly make the day's more interesting. I love you my NayNay and Lyssa (a.k.a. "The BRATZ)"


I also celebrate this day because of someone who was very dear to me. My great-aunt Hortencia Garcia. She was the best! She made the simplest things seem like the greatest ever. I still have not tasted a better alphabet soup, macaroon, or a mustard sandwich. She truly loved me through and through and she was not only my Aunti, she was my best friend. What I wouldn't have done without her in my life. Since God has taken her to be with him, I have never been the same. The day she left us, a piece of me was taken with her. I still wait for her to let me know she is fine but she hasn't come YET....I will be waiting and when you are ready Aunti, I am here. I love you and I miss you everyday! May you enjoy the spiritual field of lavender tulips I am sending your way.
