A Day Spent With My BROS & TOY STORY 3

SO I started my day wondering if I would even see my bros let alone would we go to the movies and see the third installment of the Toy Story saga ;-)

But I did. I felt bad because they had just experienced back to back days at EDC which meant early rise, hot days, and very little sleep. But they were troopers and accompanied me to the movies to see Toy Story 3.

We had our candies, nachos, popcorn, and drinks and in we went!

I was determined to catch the opening credit and the first showing of Woody for my B and I did!

The first 10 minutes of the movie is hilarious! I love this trilogy!

All of the classic favorites are back....Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Mr & Mrs. Potato Head, Slinky, Rex, Jessie, Hamm, Squeeze Toy Aliens, Bullseye, and Sarge & the Buck O' Soldiers.

All the new characters introduced were great: Lots-O'-Huggin'-Bear, Big Baby, Buttercup,Trixie, Mr. PricklePants, Sparks, and Crazy Monkey. I love how Pixar gives you "hints" of upcoming characters in other movies before the actual movie is made. For instance, in Monsters, Inc., they introduced a main character in Toy Story 3, "Lots-O'-Huggin'-Bear."

I also took a kind liking to a character who bore a striking resemblance to my Corey called "Big Baby." LOL

The fact that they brought in Ken for Barbie was funny because even with their "love interest," you still question Ken's taste in girls; or is it boys? lol

Notable characters missing: Bo Peep, Weezy, Lenny, and Etch.

It begins with Andy preparing for college and him sorting through stuff that he is taking with him, storing away in the attic, or simply discarding. The box of toys with all the main toys in it accidentally gets thrown out when in reality, Andy wanted to store them in the attic. He only places Woody in his "college" box. Thus begins the journey....

They wind up at the Sunnyside Day Care and are greeted with lots of new toys who welcome them...or do they?

Too many cute things to mention about this movie. One that stands out for me is Buzz's demo switch being switched which puts him into Spanish mode. He even dances too! LOL

I didn't cry like I thought I would when Andy leaves to college but I did cry a little inside because I KNOW that there will be a day when it comes time for them to go off and begin their journey. However, I know they will NEVER be too far from me!

I truly am blessed with 2 brothers who are not only 19 and 17 (soon to be 18) who were hella tires, and who were still willing to accompany their sometimes overbearing sister, to a movie she saw with them when they were her little baby bros.

To quote B, "the day that bird took my Woody, was the day my life changed."

You're right B, it did. You became the most intelligent person I know and Corey, you became the reason I decided to give my all in school that last year I was there. YOU BOTH ARE MY INSPIRATION and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for hanging out with me and watching a childhood movie you loved. Thanks for not being embarassed by your big sis.

I LOVE you guys!
You truly are my WORLD!

Em*
